Welcome to the Whitewright Martial Arts Center weekly blog. This week we welcome Derrick Bohannan to the Whitewright Martial Arts Tae Kwon Do family. He is the father of Draevyn Bohannan who has been with us for a few months now and has earned his first yellow rank. Derrick comes to us with extensive boxing experience but has not participated in Tae Kwon Do and in doing so hope to enhance his skills. His boxing experience is evident in his techniques during drills and forms and will be an asset when he starts sparring using Tae Kwon Do, namely start using his feet as well as his hands. We are glad to have him join us.
On the other side, we welcome back Melinda Gossett to the Tai Chi family. She has had personal issues that has kept her out for a while and is now able to return to her Tai Chi training. She has been practicing at home during this time and it is apparent when she performs the Tai Chi. We are very glad to have her back with us.
As always, we are open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00 PM for Tai Chi and at 6:00 PM and 7:10 PM for Tae Kwon Do. We are located at 108 W. Grand St. in Whitewright, Texas. You may call or text us at (903) 227-6023. Everyone is welcome to come and take a free class or even just observe. We would be glad to have you.
